When did the Cold War end: 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, or 1991?

To fully justify when the Cold War ended, one has to assess the criteria and foundation upon which the Cold War was founded. The Cold War, being a geopolitical struggle between the USSR and the USA, with tensions and mutual antagonism on both sides, could only said to have ended when these elements were absent. (Stand) However, one is forgetting the most important element of all if one merely focuses on events. The very nature of the Cold War- that is, it being "cold"- stresses on the understanding of the Cel-Lesh School of Thought, in which the core component of the Cold War was its "cold" nature. Therefore, it would be safe to say that the Cold War ended in 1989, with the births of Celine and Lester.
Obviously, the Cold War ended in 1989 because Celine and Lester were born. By that very action, the World was not "cold" anymore, due to the collective hotness of the both of them. The world, almost frozen in the icy clutches that was the Cold War, had to melt under the glaring, sunny, almost atomic-bomb-status degree of hotness that the two of them brought upon the world. Thus, one can say that with the core aspect- the "cold"- of the Cold War gone, one is left only with "War", which we still do see in the world. Hence, it would be accurate to note that 1989 was the date in which the "Cold" War ended.
However, one has to recognise other factors too. In 1987, the INF (Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces) Treaty was signed. This called for nuclear and ballistics missiles on both superpowers' sides to be destroyed. By destroying these missiles, they released a lot of heat, therefore heating up the Cold War. However, in comparision with 1989, the heat generated by Celine and Lester were so much more, which allowed for the instantaneous end of the Cold War. Thus, 1989 is a better year.... and so on and so forth.

OMT. I was wondering wth is lesh doing posting up his hist essay and upon reading it, I've further proven the point that lesh and cel, are indeed, absolutely, without a doubt MAD~
