PRESTIGE MONDAY.
The prestige was AWESOMENESSSSSSSSSSSSS~
Except for the fact that that awesomeness was EXTREMELY undercut by Denesh's and pau's confusion with regards to which actor's previous roles in say Xmen(Hugh jackman as Wolverine) or Batman begins (Christian Bale). NEITHER OF THEM ACTED IN THE HULK!!! -.-"
Oh yeah, back to the awesomeness of the prestige~
TMD, that's easily one of my favourite movies of the year!
Obsession and sacrifice. Secrets and costs. Half lives and clones. Magic and trickery.
And according to Bella, " PEOPLE DIED IN THERE!! WASN'T THAT AWESOME! " -.-"
So what's not to love??
Pity my intellect isn't fast enough to grasp the whole dialogue and adhere to the pace of the plot but I think I get most of it, so if anyone's up for discussing about the Prestige, come find me!
Play until damn tired these days~
Would be good to give that lil' brain a good work out here and there~
Anyway, went back to school today to be a PANELIST~! HAHAHAHA!
BOW DOWN TO THE MERCY OF THE PW-ASSAILANT THAT IS ALISON LEE!
I remember my OP dry run last year..
Let's just say that I was brutal and merciless towards my so-dearly-forgotten-classmates(shudders~).
But my kids didn't get it much easier this time, despite the fact that I didn't really have to do all the shooting cos' TELEVEN's pretty violent whenever it comes to this arena (the discussion and Question and Answer arena)~
Anyway, I thought most of my kids/in-laws did pretty well, only thing now is to build on them, practice till you know your stuff well enough to shoot them KNS panelist like myself. Yep yep, relacccc~OP is an aspect TELELVENers ought to score in considering the powess of our oratorical abilities~
Another dry run to go~
According to Alife, "Runs are slang for diarrohea, to have them dry, is like-"
You peeps get the point ; OP IS BULLSHIT!
GOOD LUCK & HAVE FUN TOMORROW~

End Of year ceremony!
So the official school year of 2006 is over.
YES!! WE MADE IT MY LOVELIES(pimp language adopted by Mr Long) !!!!!!!!!
One down and one VERY difficult one to go!
Anyway, we had the end of school year ceremony on Thursday.
Had to stay through a 4 hour long rehearsal(not including the one hour sitting out of the rain that day) to say a 10 seconds long sentence, APPRECIATE and SAVOUR every word I've said peeps, cos' that's the LAST time I'm EVER gonna agree to our beloved President's request to appear on stage. TMD.
Anyway, shan't go into that nasty detail for now.
Before the ceremony we affirmed each other in class! Alfie gave us each a lovely coloured paper to be passed around for each of us to affirm one another~
Knowing that we're an arts class, thereby being EXTREMELY loh-soh and long winded, he ought to have gotten us a vanguard sheet each~ -.-"
Nevertheless, the coloured papers were so pretty~~~(Nevermind the fact that my son, Mr Long chose PINK for me~Please don't tell me it reflects my personality~-.-")
Also, Alfie wrote us each a little message with a sticker in an envelope. Damn sweet lah~
He REALLY pays attention to details~
Which is kinda a rare site amongst the genetically inferior males. HAHA.
Oh yeah, back to Affirmation.
Hmm. Really words are insufficient to describe how grateful and glad I am to have met each and eveyone in TELEVEN( T11) . And I truly apologise that my vocabulary isn't sufficient to tell each and everyone one of you my lovelies how much mummy /mummy-in-law for SOME of you(hehehe~) loves you guys!
You peeps are the reason why I fight. (no lesh, you don't start singing Hoobastank's 'The Reason')
The reason why I sacrificed my 3 am food/coffee/chit chat escapades ever since June to evade the evil clutches of the Abang's resolution. Not that I'm asking you guys to be grateful (cos' you better be!) but also thank you for giving me a reason to push myself, thank you guys for the laughter, hugs, mock kisses (thank goodness they're mock~hahahaha~) and most importantly smiles. :)
Really, you peeps made being a HTC/mum of 20 a decently easy and even enjoyable job for me.
So don't thank me, cos' it's YOU guys who made me realise this side of me. A side hidden for quite some time. A side which I had thought died just the year before you peeps.
Nehmind the unfair fact that we didn't get the 'BEST J1 HOME CLASS 2006' award.
You and I both know that the criteria for that award was bull in the first place.
Class cleanliness, academic improvement, CCA participation, CIP/Blood Donation Drive participation,NYAA applicants???
Whatever happened to the most essential aspect of being in a class, that being class unity??
If you've seen this year's 'BEST J1 HOME CLASS 2006' , you'd agree with me that loads of other classes deserved that title more then this little-known class which is never together anywhere or in any aspect.
-.-"
Then again, if that is what the 'Best J1 Home class' title represents and is defined by, I'm glad we're not the 'Best J1 Home Class 2006'. Cos' we all know that TELEVEN doesn't deserve that award. TELEVEN deserves the 'CJC BEST HOME' award.
See the difference?
Glad that you do.

BACK TO BALESTIER.
This post is LONG overdue.
technically 2 days, but oh wells~
Was kinda overbooked this weekend~
Anyway, happy happy news!
Your's truly is promoted to JC 2 !!!!!!!!!!
:D:D:D:D
Looks like my DDDDS made the cut somehow~
And trust me that piece of news came in the weirdest fashion in the history of 'life determining annoucements'~
See on Friday abang decided that he ought to pay BHSS homage and promote CJ to the 2-3(if they're lucky)Balestierians who would end up in CJ.
And they got the only three ex-Balestierian CJCians to go with him. Technically two, since I'm supposed to be J2 now~
So when the teacher who went along with us asked whether were the three of us from the same class, I really wondered how to tell him that we're from the same class, but different year~ -.-"
Anyway~when the teacher found out I was a repeat he told me straight in the face that abang might not want me there afterall.
"Come on let's face it, it wouldn't be sending the right message if a repeat was introduced."
How did I feel about that line now.
Let's just say that profanity alone isn't enough to convey how I felt then.
But abang just looked at all of us from head to toe, recited our names as though he knew all about us (which was damn freaky) and smiled (more like a smirk) at me and said that yeah, I can go BHSS afterall.
So I so thick-skinned-ly asked him if I was promoted and he smirked (again) and said,
"we'll see".
And here came the highlight of my day : breathing the air of BHSS.
Nevermind the fact that an ass of a teacher and the most un-abangly abang were nearby, nevermind that I didn't know any of those CJCians going back to BHSS with me, our common acknowledgment of Romzee as the most incompetent Physics teacher was enough an ice breaker~
Minutes into the yellow and blue building of BHSS Mrs Po(my sec 4,level coordinator/class form teacher/mentor/pe/english teacher )ran out and hugged me!
lol~
I know I've said this a million and another thousand times, but I LOVE MRS PO!!!
She was like the only person who believed in my decision to repeat back then...
This time last year, I wasn't crying and god knows how many pairs of eyes were watching, just eager for me to burst out in tears.
Sorry, but I'm not that retarded.
I refuse to give those bastards that satisfaction. (Nolite te bastardes carborundorum?)
Last year, everyone was trying to come up with all sorts of lame methods to dissuade me from repeating. If not they'll tell me,"sorry", as if someone died when truth is, someone just got revived by that very same decision.
And Mrs Po was the reason why I held my conviction that not only repeating, but a 180 degree change in subject choice might just work for me. Not even my mum believed that I should have gone to Arts. So yep, I must really thank Mrs Po for being my rock amidst the unwilling rocks of my life!
So yeah, went to that old AVA room which looked kinda cool back then, yet pales in comparison to CJ's ice domes of LT 1, 5 and 6 for the presentation.
Didn't recognize many of those sec 4s, a couple of NP kids perhaps but nope didn't register anything in my head. See 4e1 back then was like a class in a class of its own. Sure we may seem like we've got no one but ourselves and perhaps a couple of other sec 4 classes in our eyes, but if you were part of 4e1, you'd see that alluring and blinding magic we had too, the sort that sorta makes everything else dissapear.
Have you ever fel that way?
A fixation with that very moment that nothing else matters?
hmm.
So abang talked and talked about subject combinations and I almost heard gasps at abang's mentioning of my combination. Really, Lit Maths Econs and H1 hist seemed like a taboo to most of the BHkids.
See, in BHSS, hardly anyone talks about furthering themselves in the humanities , in fact I think thats like a neighbourhood school thing cos' loads of neighbourhoodies who went to AJ kept asking me what future does an Arts student have, just as I had wondered about a couple of years ago.
Damn dumb come to think of it, but oh well, let's rejoice in the fact that that ignorant phase in our lives is over. -.-"
And abang then went on about how no student, regardless of their background or lack of a prestigious alma mater should feel inferior to a student with all that 'prestige', which I thought was the wisest thing I heard abang say, all my almost 2 years in CJ. Kinda sad as I was nodding my head quite furiously, them BHkids sniggered at that very statement.
Honestly I don't see what's so shameful about coming from a neighbourhood school. And what I find shameful is my very need to repeatedly reiterate that view.
Oh yeah, back to the Abang talk.
Can't really remember the exact contents of what he was talking about, but the topic suddenly went to examinations and promotion.
"Alison didn't make it the first time round. But she said 'I think I can do it' and she did. She passed."
F.Y.I My exact words then were, "I CAN DO IT."
And right after he said that, Mrs Po punched the air with a LOUD,"YES!!" ~
lol~I LOVE MRS PO~~~~~~~~
And they gave us BalestierHill bears!! (remember the ones we got during Prom?), except that they were the 2002 version, much cuter really~
Now only 2001 and 2003 bears to go!
hehehe~
It was nice being back in BHSS. But without the Sardines, nice just doesn't seem 'nice' enough.
And don't we all know that 'nice' in the first place meant nothing?

Religion
Religious fanaticism.
Or a honest and true love for all?
Sometimes I wonder just how and why do some people feel so strongly about religion? About something they can't see, feel perhaps but why and how so intensely?
And what's with they ever persistent to understand and cater to the 'spiritual needs' of others? I mean, yes I THINK they mean well, but really, I don't know how to say 'no'.
Yes, I recognize the incongruity with my religious beliefs and actions, that I'm not growing spiritually and all, but it just doesn't feel right, doesn't feel right to try to force something as complex as the intensity of one's relationship with God through your peers.
Really it just makes things awkward, to me at least.
Not only so, when people start being extra nice to you after you've agreed to visit their beloved church, you really wonder the motives of them being nicer then usual to you. They might merely be trying to make you feel more welcomed and loved and all, but seriously the cynic within doesn't believe in that crap.
That said, it is undeniable that those who invited me to their church recently truly are very nice people , even without the random gifts and letters. But, really that simply makes things harder. How oh how do I say 'no' ? After all that effort they've put in to somewhat 'rope' me in?
Really, I've always thought that when it comes to religion, one ought to be given the right to choose whether or not he or she wants to engage in that particular religion or not. So yes, nobody's forcing anything but one of the biggest flaws of the Christian church is it's most appealing attribute -- that you're enthusiastically welcomed and made to feel loved.
Isn't it wrong to attend church simply because of the company, the fun and the chocolates and not necessarily to go into God's house to simply worship and hear his word? Isn't Satan's weapon to simply make one comfortable in your religion without having a deeper relationship with God?
Trust me I've seen too many people practicing religion for all the wrong reasons the last time I participated in a youth fellowship/service/church camp.
But what happens when it is indeed true that you've reached a stage of stasis (BNW anyone?) in your pursuit for spirituality and a more intense relationship with God?

CJ OPEN HOUSE '06.
Today was CJ's open house day~
Last year this time I was obsessed with playing hopscotch with mich and corn during open house, this year, the obsession has been directed towards MASS DANCE MANIA!
lol~
I think I danced a grand total of 3 or 4 mass dances today!
Kinda cuckoo how and why am I so obsessed with our beloved bangra~
Anywayyyyy~
I think I can safely say that I'm skilled in dancing both the girl's and the guy's part for the mass dance! What an achievement!
lol~
So yup, stayed from 9 plus to about 1 going to 2~
Did nothing much for interact's stall~
Why would any sec4s even be interested in CCAs in this point in time?
So yup, spent the whole open house, running about, doing traffic duty, which wasn't much since they weren't many cars in the first place, thus changing my duties to that of a broken recorder, really.
See, whenever some freshies came into CJ, I'd say, "HELLO! WELCOME TO CJ!" and when I see some kiddo leaving CJ, I'd say,"BYEBYE! THANK YOU FOR COMING TO CJ!", all while sitting down along the walkway into CJ and chatting with Min Jia~
After some time the greetings turned to,
"HELLO, THANK YOU FOR COMING TO CJ! "
and
"BYE BYE! WELCOME TO CJ!"~
TMD, I'm damn zai, mere greetings would be fumbled up whenever they come into contact with my brilliant vocals/ability to distinguish between a simple 'hello' and a 'goodbye'. Maybe they've all becomed the same after so long. What with all that's coming, all that's leaving.
Sheesh.
ANYWAY~I have to say this, SHAWN LEE IS A VIOLENT DANCER!
Ran to the quadrangle when I heard that the mass dance has started and saw shawnie bot without a partner, so as his mummy I rushed to his rescue! (Or my impression of it anyway~lol~) All that without realising that shawnie boy was standing RIGHT in FRONT~
TMD, difficult to cover for the parts I'm not too sure with ,thus explaining the several dancing blunders, damn malu lah!!!
And there was one part of the bangra which had alot of running around, almost twisted my ankle running lahh~thereby accounting for my accusation fo Shawnie boy being a violent dancer!
Overall, I thought CJ open house was fun, for me at least, what with all that mad rush to mass dance, the random bouts of welcomes and goodbyes, dunno how that looked to the visiting freshies and dun really care~
Being in CJ for 2 years and watching 3 cohorts come and go, I've come to the conclusion that the composition of the next cohort would probably be not very different from the last few cohorts~
And come DAY 1, it'll be yet another a intimidating load of blue( ij girls) and white (SJI cum marists cum st pat's) peppered with random yellows, greens and other shades of blue~
Not that all of them willingly flock to CJ, but are forced to do so due to their oh-so-pretty prelims~ In other words, VJ,AC,SA,NJ rejects~
But here's my prediction : at the end of CJ's FIVE DAYS of orientation.....
Don't love CJ also will AT LEAST feel 'ok' in CJ,if not, start loving CJ to bits even~
WHY?
Cos' CJ's where the cuckoos congregate and become even cuckoo-er over maths tutorials and random outbursts of insanity over ice cubes and chocolate.
hehe~
okok, maybe that's just my class, or a standard feature of Lit classes everywhere, but honestly CJ's a great place to be!
The majority of the CJkids are nice, I mean genuinely nice, then again if you're suay then too bad lah~lol~
Almost all of our teachers are willing to go all the way to help you out and are super encouraging (Think Alfie, Mary Goh and lots of others~), but once again, if you're suay (like in a SCIENCE class, your chances of getting them cool teachers depletes by 70%~)
And how could we forget the anal abang who promised to attend the post promos party organised by my son mr LONG~ -.-"
And here's the NUMBER ONE reason why I love CJ : I take ONE minute to school!
ROFL~
yes yes, distance is VERY VERY VERY important, especially if you're no fan of traffic jams and inadequate crowded public transport systems (let's not start with an economic analysis of it now shall we~)
Kinda amusing how I used to go around telling people that
"I DIE ALSO DUN WANNA GO CJ!"
and look where I am now~lol~
But now I think I ought to tweak that statement a lil' bit to suit the circumstances. That now
"I DIE ALSO DUN WANNA LEAVE CJ!"
and I really mean it this time.

Little blue heaven.
Some things really come too quickly.
Barely a day after the damned promos ended, they returned us our papers.
So far this is how the progress card ought to look(after factoring in my oh-so-stellar mid year performance) :
GP - D
ECONOMICS - D
MATHS - S
ENGLISH LITERATURE - D
Kinda indifferent to my grades, I mean, they're not too bad, and please don't slap me for saying this cos' my basis and context for 'examination post mortem' is very different from most of you, but I think I really should have done better, considering how much damned effort I put in for this round of papers(let's ignore the fact that I managed to finish watching 70 episodes of Card Captor Sakura from the start of Promos to the end of promos~).
Alfie is damn nice man, I'm really glad he's our home tutor.
It's like I didn't really improve much for my GP and Lit, since I used to get Bs for GP, and my raw score this round for Lit was merely 1 mark more then my Mid year's~
Still kinda blur why he commended me for my 'improvements' with awesome cabury chocs, but they really did cushion my fall for maths~
AH~ maths.
Shit man, it's not a clear pass.
That's not enough...
2 freakin marks.
If abang chases me out of CJ because of those 2 freakin' marks I truly cannot forgive myself.
But more importantly, all I want now is for the whole of ELEVEN to be promoted.
I don't want myself to be kicked out of CJ, don't want anyone to be left behind.
Boy do I hate this scene, frantic rushes for 1 or 2 more marks, weeping and regret.
A general air of nervousness and fear hanging throughout the entire J1 cohort.
Maybe it's the colour blue that simply shrouds all lingering hope around the school.
Perhaps it's a reflection of how we're feeling.
School never felt this sad.
Not even as sad as last year.
Then again, last year I looked forward to leaving my previous-class so much that my failure to promote really did seem like hitting the jackpot out of that little blue hell.
But now that I'm in a blue heaven,
please don't take this away from us.

POST PROMOS!
I'M ONLINE.
OMG I'M ONLINE.
THIS IS TOO GOODTO BE TRUE!!!!!
okok, this is the first time in about a week that I could FINALLY come online!!!
Not because I was scurrying off to mug or something, but because my dad FORGOT to pay the cable bills before he went to CHINA~
and you people wonder why am I blur.
hmm.
So yep, was left high and dry without my beloved online community~
OK, not so much the online community, afterall, your's truly really is an antisocial being and isn't that big a fan of virtual communications since her online community is made of of all her friends in real life anyway~
BUT NO ANIME!! NO YOUTUBE, NO DEVIANT, NO MINITOKYO,NO RANDOM YET RETARDED WEB FINDS.....................ETC................ETC
The pain~
The sorrow~
Then again, I think it's just the boredom.
lol~
OH YEAH, I just bought another 3 pinkies plus this really cute miniature figurine whose name I don't know~!
2 yukatas and 1 Range Murata pinky!
HEHEHE~
Met up with Juney and Angel at tpy for lunch!
ANNOUNCEMENT PLEASE : JUNEY STRAIGHTENED HER HAIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gosh, I never realised how long juney's hair's gotten eh?
Anyway, rented lots and lots of MANGA! Wanted to rent a couple of movies or even an anime series or something, but that vcd/dvd rental shop in tpy requires a $10 deposit and doesn't let me rent any M18 movies (even though I'm only 2 or 3 months to 18 lahhhhhh~).
So yup, decided to go United Sq to rent them when I'm free~
Later we combed the whole of town to look for hmm. SOMETHING.
You never know who's reading eh~
so yup, GRACE , we were looking for SOMETHING.
;)
Sembawang is a terrible place to get CDs, they didn't have The Killers new CD. tmd.
No matter, since my CD player isn't working these days anyway. (WHY IS EVEYTHING I HAVE BREAKING DOWN?!)
OH YEAH, did I mention that my THREE-MONTH-LONG-HOLIDAY is here?????
YES BABY, THREE FREAKIN' MONTHS OF HOLIDAY!!!!
WHY?
Cos' I dun take MT and PW anymore!
:D:D:D:D:D
wahahahahahahahahahahahaha!
I was so happy at that thought that I've declared all dustbins beautiful yesterday~~
Then I rushed home for Princess hours!
hmmmm, so far the series is kinda Hana yori dango (I REFUSE to call it Meteor Garden cos' Taiwan TOTALLY destroyed the anime/manga), albeit rather slow-paced and I can see how the plot's about to evolve(aren't all Korean dramas somewhat the same?) , but nvm lah, I've got LOADS of time, so surprise me please!
Spent the entire night admiring my new pinkies cum vegging in front of the tv~
Sis had tuition so I couldn't veg in front of the com instead~
And right before I slept you know what I did????????????????????
I watched a CHINESE DEBATE on teaching as a profession!
CHINESE DEBATE, I REITERATE AND FURTHER EMPHASIS UPON.
CHINESE DEBATE~~~~
I'm kinda surprised I actually understood most of the strings of 4 or 14 Chinese words said~
Seems like my FOURTEEN years of official MT education wasn't that much of a waste of time~
SO.....YUP, kiddos, don't mess up your final MT exam!
Who knows 10 years from now you might have to debate in Chinese on how did the Cold War end, in accordance with the CEL-LESH school of thought(refer to previous post) or as argued upon in the LEE school Of thought(that's SHAWN LEE's school of thought), that the Cold War shouldn't have ended, then there'll be a nuclear holocaust and we wouldn't even exist to debate about it today.
I have strange kids.

CEL-LESH SCHOOL OF THOUGHT.
When did the Cold War end: 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, or 1991?
(Narindar's voice is wailing in my head: Answer the question! Answer the question! Answer the question!)
To fully justify when the Cold War ended, one has to assess the criteria and foundation upon which the Cold War was founded. The Cold War, being a geopolitical struggle between the USSR and the USA, with tensions and mutual antagonism on both sides, could only said to have ended when these elements were absent. (Stand) However, one is forgetting the most important element of all if one merely focuses on events. The very nature of the Cold War- that is, it being "cold"- stresses on the understanding of the Cel-Lesh School of Thought, in which the core component of the Cold War was its "cold" nature. Therefore, it would be safe to say that the Cold War ended in 1989, with the births of Celine and Lester.
Obviously, the Cold War ended in 1989 because Celine and Lester were born. By that very action, the World was not "cold" anymore, due to the collective hotness of the both of them. The world, almost frozen in the icy clutches that was the Cold War, had to melt under the glaring, sunny, almost atomic-bomb-status degree of hotness that the two of them brought upon the world. Thus, one can say that with the core aspect- the "cold"- of the Cold War gone, one is left only with "War", which we still do see in the world. Hence, it would be accurate to note that 1989 was the date in which the "Cold" War ended.
However, one has to recognise other factors too. In 1987, the INF (Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces) Treaty was signed. This called for nuclear and ballistics missiles on both superpowers' sides to be destroyed. By destroying these missiles, they released a lot of heat, therefore heating up the Cold War. However, in comparision with 1989, the heat generated by Celine and Lester were so much more, which allowed for the instantaneous end of the Cold War. Thus, 1989 is a better year.... and so on and so forth.
:D
OMT. I was wondering wth is lesh doing posting up his hist essay and upon reading it, I've further proven the point that lesh and cel, are indeed, absolutely, without a doubt MAD~
