Coffee At 10.
Have any of you ever wondered whether do SOUL MATES exist?
Like under what circumstances would another be considered 'in the running' for the title of YOUR SOUL MATE?
Would it be someone you could really talk to?
Face to face.
Eye to eye.
breathe to breathe. (nevermind the onions and garlics)
Or just someone there for you when you need him/her.
To lend you a shoulder to cry on .
To hand you a tissue when you're trying to hold the tears back.
Maybe a mixture of both?
A cocktail of everything?
Kinda amusing how everyone has a different definition of SOUL MATES.
What to do when in doubt?
Turn to Wikipedia!
According to Wikipedia, Soul mate is a term sometimes used to designate someone with whom one has a feeling of deep affinity, friendship, love, strong intimacy or compatibility.
The term makes reference to the concept of the soul and carries certain New Age overtones. There is a prevalent concept in some segments of the New Age movement that some souls are literally made and/or fated to be the mates of each other, or to play certain other important roles in each others' lives.
A related concept is that of the twin flame or twin soul - thought to be the ultimate soulmate, the one and only other half of one's soul, which all souls are driven to find and unite with.
However, not everyone who uses these terms intends them to carry such mystical connotations; they are sometimes used simply as an expression of strong emotional feeling for someone.
But I don't know...I mean, SOUL.
There's a whole new concept to the existence and purpose of a SOUL now isn't there.
Then before anything clears up, you get the question of 'What is a SPIRIT?'
And if you're anything like me (which is kinda impossible, I HOPE.) you'd probably end up in a whole mesh of rhetorics and another set of ironies before you even get down to the initial question itself.
Regardless of me and myself, I guess I shall resign myself to the notion of 'CLOSE FRIENDS', 'GOOD FRIENDS' ,'FRIENDS' and 'ACQUAINTANCES'.
To look for a soul mate, that'll be as uphill a task as LOOKING for acceptance/love/recognition, or better still, that ever evading question of life's meaning, or God's plan for you.
Some things just aren't meant to be SEARCHED for, but RECEIVED.
Notice the difference?
This is what coffee at 10 pm does to you.
Not that I mind though.
