Comfortably numb.
To say that I'm ok, takes lies.
To smile, just like I used to, takes hypocrisy.
To laugh it all off, takes pride.
How did things come to this.
Gradually then suddenly,
all I could say.
Just to let you know I'm ok,
I could take it all, and throw it all away.
I'll smile to bid truth goodbye.
I'll pretend to dream it away.
Cos' I'm too numb to feel.
