Guess all these scale down to man's deep need to find an outlet, something to get a hold off, something to root them to the ground amiss the madness everywhere else. Myabe that's why all religions teach us that same essential truth: that there is more to life than what this life tells us.
Is that a good or bad thing? Yeah...guess that's about all went on on the last day of Orientation. Had a blast on that day, but again, I was pissed off by quite a number of other things as well. OK! Began the day with a 'interaction period' with the J2s. We were brought to this Arts class with well, quite a few 'interesting' people. They kept offering us food like, peanut butter sandwiches, nutella sandwiches, chips, salty apples(apples sunk in salt water), chocolate cakes(the cheap cheap type), cheese cakes (the cheap cheap type) and etc.. In the class, our dwelling was split into another 4 groups. The J2s will then rotate themselves around the 4 sub-gropus. When they come to your sub-group , your SUPPOSED to ask them questions about AJ and stuff, like perhaps "how's JC life? " things like that.. BUT, all of them like to do this "self-introductory" segment and everyone has to introduce him/herself all over again like 5 ,6 times? By the time the whole sub-group finished introducing themselves, times up, swap time. Some interacting session eh? Nevermind . I managed to get a few questions answered later on anyway. The group of J2s I was assigned to was alright, except for this Indian girl (not being racist here, but that's the one prominant feature about her that I can remember) who contantly complained about everything, the weather, her hunger, her thirst, bloody CIP...yadah yadah.. The thing about such programs like College CIP, Orientation, Camps...the mood of just one member of the team/group/dwelling/whatever you want to call it , is enough to affect the mood of the entire team/group/dwelling/whatever you want to call it. So yeah, her constant complaints were kind of a dampener. Nevermind. Elizabeth (a Cedarian) went door-knocking with me most of the time. It was quite alright , I guess. We didn't managed to get alot ,cos' Anderson Secondary went around the neighbourhood the day before our collection, collecting what we are collecting , also, at the time we went around collectiong, nobody's home. So yeah, didn't manage to get alot, but on the bright side, we didn't get any doors slammed right into our faces . hee~ Later on, my dwelling , Hera went to Ang Mo Kio Central's KFC to have lunch. It was really fun, we just chit chatted, gossiped and lame-ed around for about an hour or so. We got this guy from our OG to do a forfeit of sliding down the chicky slide in KFC. FUNNY sia~~Apparently my OGL thought the dude's cute, so all of us tried to take a picture of him for her~~Ahh...now this reminds me of the sickening thing about my OG. The guy sliding, is in a clique within the dwelling. This clique sat so far away from the rest of us at KFC that my OGL almost rushed all the way back to AJ cos' she thought she had lost them. This clique comprises of 3 dudes and 2 gals. It's only been 5 days since we've known each other, and already, withing the dwelling itself, a clique is formed. A sub-group withing a group. Whenever we want to get something done, this group will just stick onto one another and be anti-social. PLEASE loh~we're in a group, we're together in this, we're all blur sotongs in a new school, what's the distinguishment for? CRAP. [If you're one of them, and you're reading this, I think it's shit that you treated the rest of us like this. ] OK, back to the KFC part. It was only there, that all of us realised that we (including the OGL) could not stand certain persons in our group, and strangely ,because of that we had alot to talk about from there. I know it's bad and all to gossip behind people's back...but SERIOUSLY, if you're in my OG, I HIGHLY doubt that any of you can stand them any more that I could. Later on, my OGL picked a guy(Alan) and me from our dwelling to perform in the tribe skit. There are 6 tribes, in each tribe, there's 6 dwellings, so yeah, 2 per dwelling to perform for their tribe. Alan and I from Hera, for Zeus. Our skit was damn LAME. But at least it was entertaining enough to win. The script goes like this... Narrator : Once upon a time, there was an almighty tribe called Zeus, which had a sissy tribemaster called 'sissy'. Guy would sashay out in a VERY gay-like manner (very commendable acting, if I do say so myself). Narrator : However the evil one (Mojo jojo) came and threatened to disrupt this wonderful tribe's peace. Mojo jojo : I am MOJO JOJO. And I am here to kidnap YOU! (points at sissy) Sissy : Tao Yan! (in a VERY sissy manner) Mojo JoJo : eeee ye..DISCUSTING! Take him away! (sissy is kidnapped) Narrator : And so Zeus sent it's most powerful S.W.A.T team to rescue the tribemaster. *Four guys doing the charlie's angel's pose, with the mission impossible theme in the background provided by the tribe. And they start to search in a very monkey manner. * Narrator : After 10 minutes of ARDOUS and DIFFICULT search, they decided to send the best among the team ,' Ash Ketchup ' to fight the Evil one. *Powerpuff Girls fly out to get the whole tribe to do a Zeus Cheer* Mojo sends out Machamp(a pokemon). Ash sends out Golumn. Golumn : Where is my preciiiiiiouuuuussssss... Machamp ignores and coninues to pose. Golumn : Dong xi zhai nah ne?? Machamp continues to ignore. Golumn : AHEM! Mojo: she mo dong xi? Wo bu zhi dao! Golumn: No precioussss, no fight! Golumn goes to sleep. Ash kicks golumn away. Ash sends out ZEUS *Zeus cheer!* Zeus and Machamp do lots of actions like cartwheels...turns and everything...finally come to each other and..."scissors paper STONE! " And Mojo's Machamp loses! Mojo then sent out Neo. But Zeus did the Matrix kick (with 4 guys holding him up lah) and Neo fell. Mojo finally sends out Sun WuKong. Mojo: Sun WuKong ! I choose you! Sheng Long Shi Ba Zhang! Sun Wu Kong does a dragonball pulling action and from her, a basketball(someone is holding it lah) shoots out and goes for Zeus, who dodged it with the slow motion action thingy . (Narrator gives commentaries.."the ball goes right for Zeus. But no. Zeus ducked! He's about to score...AH! No ! He misses!" And finally Zeus thorw out thunder balls and MoJo was defeated. Mojo : Team Mojo flying off at the speed of light! Narrator : Once again the day is saved all thanks to the Powerpuff girls and Zeus! Sissy jumps out , says "And me and me!!" +End+ LAME right?? I can't believe I actually came up with some parts of it as well~~LoL~Had lots of fun planning and performing it anyway. After that, cheers and mass dance (Slam Dunk), forgotten some of the steps ,but nevermind , still very fun~ Yeah...all ended with the rain chased away, bubbles in the clear night sky and light sticks swayingin the air. We gave both our OGLs a card each (Both very cute! I bought wan leh!) and they gave us lots of sweets and chocolates before the stupid teacher-in-charge shooed us away at 10 pm. After Orientation , people would normally hang around, maybe take pictures , exchange gifts or plan for a next gathering or maybe even supper. But, NO, the old dude does not understand. He wants us out before the residents living in the area start complaining. What a party-pooper ! On my way home, I met this other girl called Wan Hui, also in AJC for the 1st 3 months. We both got off at the same stop and so I went over to say Hi. When I said that my name was Alison, she immediatly went " aLi??? " .Yep, apparently she's a friend of my kway teow~ She said that she thought I was 'Meril' (is that even how it's spelled? Heck~). Meril is this RGS gal also in AJ . I think. I didn't know I have the 'Raffles' look, Lol~ For the past 5 days I had been called 'Meril for about 3, 4 times and a netballer thrice. About the Meril thing, I personally find it very amusing how two people can look so similar . Distant, distant, distant, distant relatives perhaps? Can't wait to meet this Meril girl. Lol~ Meet my Ah Mah later on, went for a drink cos' the both of us were straved terribly(ok, maybe me more.) And we just sat on the steps of Revenue house to chat, both with a bottle of snapple each.Went home around 12:30 am. That's the end of my Orientation. The end of the JC honeymoon. Wonder what comes next. That's me. Where's you?
Volunteers have been turning up at Singapore Press Holdings' News Centre daily to help out with the tsunami relief effort with nary a complaint.

Cross Country.
Cross Country.
Just finished my "soak as much water as possible" regime.
Yeah...AJ's cross country just ended and I just showered and had my "drink LOTS of water" regime.
Hmm...had normal lessons all the way until 1:35 pm cos' school ended at 1:35 pm [WOW!]
But...........we had to reach MacRitchie at 3:00 pm.
So my class went to Ang Mo Kio Central to have AJ ice!!
Seems like ever since I entered AJ I'm always around the Ang Mo Kio/Yio Chu Kang/Bishan area~~Last time, we always hanged around the Novena/Balestier/Toa Payoh/Orchard area eh?
Guess school proximity to different places affects your school life one way or another eh?
Haha~anyway, AJ ice is basically just a plate of GIGANTIC ice kachang named "AJ ice" from some Ice kachang stall in AMK central. My class ordered 2 plates for about 15 ppl.
And us gals (8 of us) had quite alot of difficulty finishing it~~ It was mutant-genically GIGANTIC loh~
But delicious nevertheless~
Later we wondered about AMK central trying to figure out where has a bus to MacRitchie.
Brought along another 2 groups of lost J1s with us~
Anyway~
I'm in the Jaguar house [red house].
4 years of Sapphire...blue...all of the sudden red now...Just feels weird~~
Still can't come to terms with that...dunno y~
Love of old school too much?
Oh wellllll~
Hmm...when I reached Mac Ritchie, it felt sooo familar yet so distant from me.
Been going there every year for 4 years now..
Year by year it's "Sapphire the no.1.....Sapphire the SUPER one...Sapphire the mighty...Sapphire the SUPER...Saphhire the NO.1!!!!!" [sing to popeye the sailor man tune]
Miss that sooooo bloody much now...Amanda's screams...Wan Yee's scrowls....MAYBE even Philip's lion....Running in blue for blue.
Oh welll~
No use reminiscing~still have to run right?
Don't run need to do makeup PE leh~
Hmm...so the run started.
At first I ran with Soke Yee and the rest of the gals in my class.
But after awhile I simply gave in to sheer LAZINESS and started walking with Wan Shu and Mei Yee~
Poor Soke Yee was soooooooo very in front and oblivious to the fact that I had lagged behind~haha! Sorry Soke Soke!
Every bus stop or water point or first aid point I stopped at reminded me of Angel, Grace, Yy and Bonnie....Miss their "alison jia you!!!" so very much...
Then again, there were others who cheered me on too~ thx aj peeps!!
Really appreciate it!
=)
Came in around 200+ Can't really remember my no. now~
That's a respectable no. K! AJ has almost 1000 gals after all~[ok, that was just me comforting myself. But AJ really does have about 1000 gals~lol].
The lame thing about the whole run was the last stretch.
Normally, a typical person would chiong the final stretch right?
But noooooooooooo~AJ doesn't allow it~
We must "walk slowly and in single files to facilitate their position counting".
Crap ah.
During this "walk slow" thingy, many clowns cutted in between other gals who only slowed down cos the councillors told them to do so.
Lame asses.
No intergrity. No sportsmanship.
LAME!
Later...
the usual prize giving ceremony.
All Star(my economics tutor who's soooooo very gooood at everything) came in 1st for teachers lehhh~~
My class cheered damn loud for her even though it's been only 1 month since she started teaching us.
Yeah..I must admit this: No matter how bitchy and PMS-sy she is at times...she's a GREAT teacher.
Guess that's why my class likes her so much~
Ex-balestierians and current Balestierians listen up!
If you thought that BHSS's house cheers are unoriginal and too soft..wait till you hear AJ houses' cheers..
Bloody soft and barely audible loh...
Not to mention
Un-creative.
Un-original.
Un-motivating.
Bleah~
But I still had a great time with 23/05 just now!
Feel so fit and healthy now!
And I haven't finish maths tutorial 1!!
Lol~
So yeah...no matter how much I miss Balestier Hill...AJ rocks too! Just needs more time for the average human to warm up to 'Mugger Island' eh?

Camp ODAC-Style.
Camp ODAC-Style.
2 nights and 1 day.
AJC ODAC CAMP!
Haha~just got home, so forgive me if this entry's alittle bonkers cos' my mind is not really at optimum "working efficiency" at the moment, given that all other contributing factors are the same, Ceteris Paribus. [economics~]
Hmmm...on day 1...ok, Night 1, the teacher-in-charge- of ODAC screened a documentary movie called "Amazing Caves". It was about 2 ladies who are both very much dedicated to their exploration of caves in search of some micro-organisms which they hope could some day be a cure to some sickness...
Very inspiring...but after 16 years and almost 1 month living in a little island called Sinapore...I've come to the terms with the fact sacrificing a stable job, a steady steady, a 6 figure annual income, car, house, latest handphone model for dreams, for challenges, for exploration of self by exploring the unexplored even for humanity would DEFINATELY raise everrrrrryone's eyebrows no matter their age....
Guess monetary possesions are just about the only goals of our 'countrymen' (sounds lame eh?).
Maybe it's the Singaporean way of killing dreams or scaling them down.
Shall comment on that another day...
Ok~
Later on we played some ice breakers around 10 pm.
My group wanted to be called 'The Elevens' since there was eleven of us. [Including my 2 group ICs, both verrrrrrrrrrrry nice de~]
Later on, we decided on 'BNW' cos everyone was either in black or white and people kept dissappearing from the our group [they had something on..and the camp was an no obligation kinda camp].
Ok lah~then played some 'Find the Murderer' game whereby all of us would be disabled one way or another~I was practically MUTE all the way~I very noisy meh??? And I think that being blind is the worst of all disabilities...black 24/7....wohh....
Then there were the lamers (as in really cannot walk)
Lol~
Typical games but very fun nevertheless !
By the time the games ended it was around 12:30 going to 1 am and we weren't allowed to shower cos we had barely 5 hours of sleep left.
Nevermind. Didn't shower for 3 days during OBS anyway~
So yeah, slept over at AJ last night.
It was damn freezing ahhh~~luckily I had my towel with me~
Which actually isn't really enough...
Next morning, we were woken up around 5 +.
We had crackers, milo and peanut butter or nutella bread.
I got the nutella one.
The ODAC seniors are damn nice actually....spread breadspread over our bread for us. Also mind you, Nutella is NOT cheap lehh...
After breakfirst , Vanessa (a st nic's gal in my group) left us for another camp in her secondary school. So only Hui Fen(another gal in my group) and I were the only 2 gals left.
Nevermind.
After breakfirst we went to SICC by bus and there we started our trek to Macritchie.
The trek was okkkkkk.
The road was filled with lots of twigs...rocks...logs and some really out of place and unaturally fallen branches which our ODAC teacher-in-charge lamented were attempts by the authority to close up that particular trail for some reason...(the rape incident last year? No idea~)
The SICC to Macritchie trail isn't as flat and clear as any of the trails I've been to. We were told not to talk so much, but to pay attention to nature, so yeah, Chang Tai the soooooooooooo super blooooody noisy LAMER [I concede defeat! He's the TRUE king of LAME crappers] had to shut up...but for awhile only~ -.-"
While 'paying attention to Nature' I saw an ant infested log.
No bid deal you say.
The ant was this big. [ _____________]
Of which it's butt was big. [ ______]
Woahhh~Mutant sia!
Next time go trekking 'pay more attention to nature ah'
We were told to double ziploc our belongings cos' we'll be crossing a reservoir.
When you hear that before a trek, naturally you'd be expecting to get reallllllllllllllllllllllllllllllly wet for a reallllllllllllllllllllllly loooooooooooooooooong distance right?
Dissapointment 1 : It was barely 5 m of a part of the reservoir.
Dissapointment 2: It was only up to my shoulders [Meaning it'll probably cover the heads of Angel/xy/grace/june/anyone shorter then me. Lol~]
After that part of the trek, we walked on the very much more civilised looking trek right next to SICC. So yeah, a bunch of ah peks playing golf kept staring at the wet 56 of us.
No big deal, I've been stared at by another bunch of *&^%#$^&* people previously....so yeah..no big deal.. In fact my group found it pwreeeeeetyyyy amusing~
Climbed to the top of some 6 storey tower where we rested and took a bite of our "motivational food" as the J2s called them...OK, 1 chewy bar and 3 oreos out of the 5 museli/chewy bars and 6 oreos I received from the J2s and 2 dudes from my group.
Oh yeah. Did I mention I met Clarence from Henry Park Primary School ? He was in my primary 4 class! Haha~he used to be very irritating eh? Then again. ALL boys of that age were irritating! lol~
Hmmm...then we just took a bus back to AJ where we were told that we'll be having a BBQ that night.
Bad part: We were to plan the whole bbq ourselves.
Chicken feed right?
We've all planned bbqs before anyway.
But can all 56 of us plan together?
That's plain crap.
So I sat out of the bbq comittee which was so very full of people already and went to the performing comittee to plan a lame skit for everyone.
Wan Hui and I were the narrators for the lame skit. And only a few of us out of the whole performing comittee was actually planning, the rest were just stoning. Nevermind, everyone's tired right?
So yeah that didn't piss me off.
What did piss me off however was how there was soooooooooooooooo many people in the bbq comittee yet it was still so very cocked up, leaving so many of us with nothing to do while others were so very busy cos' we didn't know which department needed help.
Later on, when I finally found somewhere where help was needed [marinating comittee], the j2s annouced that the gals were NOT to touch the food and the guys were NOT to start the fire.
What the &%$$@#@#.
That got me VERY pissed off.
Why make us do what we're not good at when there's such a shortage of time already?
You people don't want to eat ah?
What ever happened to the maximising of Manpower?
Crap.
We even had a competition to see which group started their fire the fastest.
My group only had 2 gals can?
And the both of us didn't know how to start a fire.
Confession: I don't know how to start a fire even though I'm from NPCC and have been to sooooooooooo mannnnnnnnnnnny bbqs~
Luckily the j2s called Hazel from another group to come over to help us.
And even more fortunately, she knows how to start a fire!!
So yeah, the fact that our bbq pit was started the fastest and was the hottest was simply because Hazel started it for us and told us what to do etc...
Thanks Hazel!!
But I guess they had their reasons. Maybe they wanted us to learn how to start a bloody fire when there are guys around to start it, in case one day we go to a bbq with no guys. Which to me......is quite impossible.
T.T
So yeah~we got the fire started and even though we were only slightly behind time, the bbq was a success! I didn't have any of the chicken though....Don't like to get my hands soaked in oil.
But....fun as the camp had been...it only made me miss the HUAs...L.A.S.T....4E1....Balestier Hill....even more...
The thought of how the bbq would have been if you peeps were with me just kept floating quietly through my numbskull..the fact that I conviniently FORGOT to bring my kk(my handphone) didn't help.
BBQ at Mugger Island, AJC!
Woah...
The J2s even made us banana with cabury in it...spread our bread with nutella....made us milo...bought us lotsa snacks...
Nice of them ain't it?
But...it was kinda like secondary school uniform groups, without the uniform, without the marching and the drills, with nicer seniors who don't pump[yet] .
Now I'm having second thoughts about ODAC.
Okkkkkkkkk
School again tomorrow.
Tutorials and lectures again.
Haven't finish homework anxieties again.
School ends at 1+ and I'll have to reach MacRitchie tomorrow at 2 for AJC's cross country.
Holidays!!
Where art thou???

I Walk Alone.
I Walk Alone.
Boulevard Of Broken Dreams.
By Greenday.
I walk a lonely road
The only one that I have ever known
Don't know where it goes
But it's home to me and I walk alone
I walk this empty street
On the Boulevard of Broken Dreams
Where the city sleeps
and I'm the only one and I walk alone
I walk alone
I walk alone
I walk alone
I walk a...
My shadow's the only one that walks beside me
My shallow heart's the only thing that's beating
Sometimes I wish someone out there will find me
'Til then I walk alone
Ah-ah, Ah-ah, Ah-ah, Aaah-ah
Ah-ah, Ah-ah, Ah-ah
I'm walking down the line
That divides me somewhere in my mind
On the border line
Of the edge and where I walk alone
Read between the lines
What's fucked up and everything's alright
Check my vital signs
To know I'm still alive and I walk alone
I walk alone
I walk alone
I walk alone
I walk a...
My shadow's the only one that walks beside me
My shallow heart's the only thing that's beating
Sometimes I wish someone out there will find me
'Til then I walk alone
Ah-ah, Ah-ah, Ah-ah,
Aaah-ahAh-ah, Ah-ah
I walk alone
I walk a...
I walk this empty street
On the Boulevard of Broken Dreams
Where the city sleeps
And I'm the only one and I walk a...
My shadow's the only one that walks beside me
My shallow heart's the only thing that's beating
Sometimes I wish someone out there will find me
'Til then I walk alone...
I was released early today.[3 pm.]
I took the MRT home.
I walked home.
Alone.
And that was how I felt.
Alone.
Everyone went home with someone to talk to.
Someone to crap with.
A big happy laughing laming group.
A group similar to my group.
But they aren't there.
I've made LOTS of new friends. But....yeah...everyone's got a ' jc-gang' . And mine....well...we all have different subject combinations so we don't get to go home together.
Those in my so very happening and enthu and farney and lame and crappy class also have their own 'jc-gangs'.
And I'm not in it.
Everybody's in a different 'jc-gang' anyway.
Haiz....
Actually it's ok..but I just don't like the feeling on travelling alone.
OK. I rephrase.
I didn't like it TODAY.
Just kinda used to walking home with a whole big bunch of lamers. [The L.A.S.T (Lamer's Association Sardines Together) also known as the HUA family.]
If not, at least with Angel.
If not(which happens VERY rarely~if not..NEVER~), at least the distance travelled is soooo bloody short that I barely notice my 'sian-ness'.
Just feeling abit lonesome, maybe withdrawn.
Nothing to it.
At least I think so.

Old School Pride.
Old School Pride.
Yesterday I went to the open houses of Nanyang polytechnic and Ngee Ann Polytechnic.
I wasn't very impressed.
Neither do I find the Poly route very exciting now.
I got my questions answered and frankly, the questions they shot back were more of a put-off then the answers they gave to my questions.
The answers they gave were...Ok..let me be nice and phrase this nicely...
Let's just say that I could have just logged onto the various Polytechnic's websites and read line by line about the different courses offered at the different institutes of higher learning.
Nevermind, I can deal with that.
Then comes the annoying part.
All the lecturers/facilitators/students at the Polytechnics (both Ngee Ann and Nanyang) asked me what was my prelim score and what school did I come from. So I did. What's there to be ashamed of anyway ? The irritating thing was the way their faces just changed when I told them I was from Balestier Hill Secondary School.
They'll go "OH...I see..." with the "ermm...ok lahh" look.
What is this?
Am I not good enough for your Polytechnic ?
Is the education I received at Balestier Hill incomparable to those in branded schools or what society labels as "BETTER" schools" ?
Maybe not everyone thinks like the shallow lecturers of the Polytechnics, but I'll bet that truckloads of you people out there think along the same lines as these lecturers.
Why the stereotyping?
Cos' Singaporeans really ARE this way?
Cos' the Singaporean way equals to labeling everything to make it seem 'organized' ?
Cos' Singaporeans simply LOVE stereotyping and as a Singaporean, that's what I'm doing.
If you think you're soooooooooooooo very much better then us from Balestier Hill just because you're in one of those SUPPOSEDLY BETTER schools...I have one piece of advise to you. Wait for the results. Wait patiently and pray HARD you beat us. Cos' I don't think Balestier Hill is a bad school...AT ALL. I may not beat you the students of BETTER schools but I'm confident not all of us will lose to you.
I've undergone wise and incredibly knowlegable teachers who are truly passionate about their work here. I've been drilled God knows how many times by my mentors here. I've shared so much fun with my fellow comrades in our war for the O'level certificates here.I've found my confidants here. I've found my sense of identity here.
All at Balestier Hill Secondary School.
All at the place you people dismissed as 'Cheena', 'Beng & Lian' , 'lousy' ,'bad' and who knows what else .
I can only say this. What do you know about the 'lousy' and 'bad' school I came from? What rights do you have to criticise my school? Have you been there? And how much better is your school in terms of the quality of education administered to you when compared to the quality of education I received?
Cool down....1,2,3....relax....breathe....
Ok~
Don't get me wrong.
The reason why I don't fancy the Poly route now is definitely not because of the lecturer's stereotyping.
I'm not like them.
I'm not shallow.
I'm just uncomfortable with the whole "prepare you for the industry " idea.
Gives me the feeling of testubes being processed for usage in some petrochemical lab.
So yeah...guess the Poly route is not really me eh?
But till the results are revealed, I reckon I really shouldn't go dismissing he Poly route as un-Alison. That'll be as shallow a way of thinking as the lecturers I talked to eh? After all, not all of them might be that DUH~
But.....
Balestier Hill Secondary School still rocks!!!!
Whether you agree or disagree don't matter to me.
I don't entertain shallowness.

Too Far Gone.
Too Far Gone.
By Sixpence None The Richer.
I built these walls with blinders on my eyes
brick by brick and now I realize
that I'm shut out I'm shut in
and every time I try to reach out I reach in
I break my fingers on the bricks
why do I do this to myself
there is really no one else to blame
Chorus
so could you reach down and pull me out
or am I just too far gone to be saved?
or am I just too far gone to be saved?
I take my falls, hands pulled behind my back
you made the knot and didn't leave much slack
now I'm tied up I'm tied down
now every time I try to fly up I fly down
into the sea and hold my breath
I am a mirrored rumble fish
life is so clenching for the kill
Chorus
so could you reach down and break my will
or am I just too far gone to be saved?
or am I just too far gone to be saved?
[ Instrumental-Bridge ]
I'm shut out I'm shut in
and every time is try to reach out reach in
I break my fingers on the bricks now every time
I try to fly up I fly down
into the sea and hold my breath
I am a mirrored rumble fish
life is so clenching for the kill
Chorus
so could you reach out and pull me out
or am I just too far gone you'll never be too far gone,
you'll never be too far gone to be saved.
But what about me ?

Never Enough.
Never Enough.
The day before yesterday was Krystelle's Birthday.
That was the 19th of Jan.
Sour Seventeeen Krys-tele-Phone!
We went to Novena since she's meeting her mum and I have to go home.
Her mum invited me to stay with Krystelle and family for dinner. We went to Komala's for dinner. We ordered some North Indian set meal. The waiter took some giantic puff-like thingy which came with some curry-like-but-not-really-curry-stuff. Delicious leh! But because of my so very limited knowledge on Indian cuisine, I can't really recommend you peeps what was it that I ate~~ -.-"
OK! After a scrumptous and freeeee meal [Thanks for the treat Mrs Valladeres!! ], Krystelle and I went to Vines, where my so very dear 17 year old grandma was working at for dessert!
Si Angel, your grand daughter so filial come and visit you in work never gimme treat!! Hmph!
But the ice cream dessert from Vines was mouth-watering man!
Sian, feeling rich and want a yummy dessert, go to Vines!! [Opposite Novena Church, next to cheers!] See I so nice, help you advertise leh~Next time see me must gimme free meal ah!!
At Vines, we bullied poor Angel by asking her to recommend what's good for us. When Angel said she dunno cos she hasn't tried, we did the whole "This shows you're not interested in your work!!" shit~And whenever she walks past us, Krys and I would try to seduce her to come take a bite out of our desserts~Mean eh? Who call her don't treat us! LoL~
The next day I had PE for the first 2 periods of the day. 2 rounds warm up, 6 rounds of running, non-stop. Then comes the jumping jacks...crunches....situps...pushups....and the triceps thingy. I tell you, I can withstand any of those except the triceps thingy. I think I have like the weakest arms compared to any of you despite all the pumpings I kana-ed during NP for four whole years~
Thursdays are KILLER DAYS~~morning PE, and just about the longest day in the whole week. 4:15 ++ then end school k! Imagine if I have CCA on that day....die ahhh~~~~
The sickening thing about JCs is the long hours and the constant stuffing of information into your peabrain like in preparation for Thanksgiving dinner or somthing~~But other then that....JC rocks!! AJC specifically! Guess feelings really can be developed over time eh? At least that's the case for me and AJC.
My classmates are great! 2305 rocks! Haha~ And just a few days ago I was complaining to all who'd listen how much I dread going to school. Guess it's the people ,not the state of the building, the size of the canteen, the reputation of the school or the bitchy-ness of tutors that truly matter in a school eh?
Anyway..........yesterday after school, I went to Krystelle's place for a bbq.
On my way there, I met Bernice so we went together.
On the bus, we saw Ms Lee Yup Ping [Our so very 'dear' combine Humanities teacher]. Ehh....she's changed her hair style. It's longer, softer, blacker, straighter and it was even wavy. o.O Scary ehhhhhhhh! Other then her hair...her dress sense and face did not change, AT ALL. So can you peeps picture the old Ms Lee, without her flyaway, tangled up, greying and dry as grass hair ?? From the back she looked like some rich taitai who paid one hell of a sum of money to get her hair done, upfront.....Ol' fierce, grouchy, brooding Ms Lee. Bernice didn't want to go say hi...so yeah, didn't manage to talk to her. Or should say, didn't try to talk to her.
Yeah....haven't been to Krystelle's place for about 2 years already. Krystelle Frances Valladeres! Be honoured! I still remember how to get to your place K!
Most people from 4e1 and a few others from other classes were there.
There, we were damn disorganised. Everyone was like "Where's the pasta??", "Where are the chicken wings??" , Where is the fire starter??" .Lol~ So we were scurrying up and down Krystelle's place and back [we must have developed some real nice calf muscles eh? loL~] In the end we only started eating around 9:30~
After that, everything was nice and slow. Some of them playing ping pong , which seemed more like a ping pong/tennis/badminton/squash session by the way that they're playing[u peeps hit my teeth with the ping pong!! U ppl heng my tooth didn't fall off k!]~Others just sat around chatting, attempting to push each other down the pool some guys playing with the bbq pit, another boliao cluster playing the game of life.
Did I mention I won? Haha~I was a Journalist [ooooooh!] had a husband and a daughter leh! Lol~millionaire from the game of life crapping here~ be amazed! Lame lah that game, but very entertaining nevertheless.
What I found most amusing about this class gathering was the fact there was no gambling at all. No taidi, no majong, no blackjack...nothing! Just good clean fun~
Angel, Prise and I crashed over at Krystelle's place after the whole bbq ended around 11 something. Like typical of girls, we chatted alllllllllll night, all the way until 3 am going to 4 am like that before I surrendered to my fatigue and skipped to Lala land~
Next morning (which is today) Angel and I went to Spinellis' for coffee and brunch...coffee....sweet, sinfully fatening partries...a confidant....what more could a girl ask for?
Scarcity. Therefore alot more.
There's so so so much more I want out of this life.
And it doesn't just stop there.
Sometimes, in order to acheive something or aquire some other thing, greed is needed.
The desire to want, a need to badly need it, a simple "I want" must be there. When to stop...that's another topic altogether, it's personal and personally, mine does not end here. I want so much more...
Like a light blue Creative Zen Micro which every single electrical appliance store doesn't sell!!! Grrrrrrrrr!!!!
Lol~

You Found Me.
You Found Me.
By Kelly Clarkson.
Is this a dream?
If it is
Please don't wake me from this high
I'd become comfortably numb
Until you opened up my eyes
To what it's like
When everything's right
I can't believe
You found me
When no one else was lookin'
How did you know just where I would be?
Yeah, you broke through
All of my confusion
The ups and the downs
And you still didn't leave
I guess that you saw what nobody could see
You found me
You found me
So, here we are
That's pretty far
When you think of where we've been
No going back
I'm fading out
All that has faded me within
You're by my side
Now everything's fine
I can't believe
You found me
When no one else was lookin'
How did you know just where I would be?
Yeah, you broke through
All of my confusion
The ups and the downs
And you still didn't leave
I guess that you saw what nobody could see
You found me
You found me
And I was hiding
'Til you came along
And showed me where I belong
You found me
When no one else was lookin'
How did you know?
How did you know?
You found me
When no one else was lookin'
How did you know just where I would be?
Yeah, you broke through
All of my confusion
The ups and the downs
And you still didn't leave
I guess that you saw what nobody could see
You found me
(You found me)
(When no one else was lookin')
You found me
(How did you know just where I would be?)
You broke through
All of my confusion
The ups and the downs
And you still didn't leave
I guess that you saw what nobody could see
The good and the bad
And the things in between
You found me
You found me.
If only you existed.
Cos' I think I need you.

Questioning My Faith.
Questioning My Faith.
Today's Sunday.
I'm home, slacking.
I didn't attend Church.
Again.
And I call myself a Christian.
Haha~what a joke~I'm most probably the worst one to ever trample across history, then again I've seen worse. So what the heck.
I have no excuses to defend myself because I don't see a need for me to do so. I dont think that I'm wrong. I don't see anything wrong with not going to Church no matter how BAD the other Christians think it is. I don't think I'm losing touch of my spirituality no matter what they say. I'm finding my spirituality my own way.
Honestly, I really wonder what makes us so sure about our beliefs. Is it because our parents said that's how things work and so we believe they do? Is it because some dude in a fancy suit tells us it's true and so we believe they are? Where's the proof? And they answer it with " The bible is proof."
......
And how would we ever know whether whatever's written there is true or false?
I feel like kicking my own rear for not asking anyone that.
"Then why are you even a Christian?" "Why do even believe in a God?"
I came across this just a few hours ago and I feel that it applies to me too..
"My answer is simple and non-rational:I believe because I need to, because the implications of living in an amoral world f meaningless suffering are too horrendous for me. At an experiential level, I also believe because I see God in my daily life."
So yeah..In a way I'm Christian, yet not a Christian. Just a very bad one in Christian context.
How would we ever know whether is there really a God, a almighty, a Father of all?
I was told that God is almighty, he's one who knows no sin, one who can do anything beyond our wildest dreams. The only thing he can't do is to force Man to believe in him, or to stop Man from doing what he wants . That's why innocent lives are lost by senseless wars. Why families are torn apart. Why we get sucky lecturers like I did.
He wants us to be free. And so we are. He's will ends where our free will begins.
That's why in a way I think that it's God's will for us to be free that lead to the downfall of some of us. Because of some people's sheer stupidity.
Guess faith can never be circumscribed by logic eh?
Agree, disagree, not my agenda, I'm simply telling you what I think.
Before I end, here's a piece of trivial for you peeps. Someone kanna sacked by his boss for "gross misconduct", simply because his boss saw his blog referring to the line manager as "Evil Boss" and described his working hours as "slavery" .
Bloggers out there, be careful of who you name in your blogs when you start work ahhh~~

The Yesterday I Wished Was Today.
The Yesterday I Wished Was Today.
CRAP!
Actually I was about to finish typing this post, but because I tried to rip some songs off Avril Lavigne for my sis, her com died on me. Blogger was one of the evil traitors too, it took away my baby--my post!!
ARGHHHHHHHHH!
OK! Nevermind!
I can retype!
OK!
Things are getting better already.
The JC thing that is.
Hmm...the fact that I have to get off my comfy bed at day break, go to school ,attend my lectures and tutorials religiously, do my homework faithfully and not fall asleep during lectures,is beginning to sink in . That , together with a daily lethal dosage of URGH food from AJC.
Yeah, human nature--adapt and adjust. I'm getting used to JC. I think.
Guess I'll be staying in JC after the first 3 months. If I can make it that is.
Hmm...got to know my friends better this week...turns out they're not that guai, innocent and quiet as I initially thought they were (who said first impression counts??). So yeah...things are beginning to make a turn towards the better, at least I hope so...
Hmm....Yesterday I went fo the first ODAC meeting. Like every other first meetings for teams, joint-ventures...team players, partners and CCA members have to get to know each other first right? So yeah, ice breaking games for the first meeting. VERY FUN!! They were alot more original then the usual orientation games like Wacko or husband and wife. ALOT.
Yeah, when we're done, Krystelle and I rushed all the way from Yio Chu Kang to Ochard, making a brief stop at Bishan to meet Vanessa, to meet the other 4e1 peeps.
I was sooooooooooooo verrrrrrrrrrrry happy to see you peeps loh! It's soooooooo lovely to see familiar faces belonging to the people you've shared so much of your life with (one quarter of my life k!) after sooooo loooong(ok lah, a few weeks).
Hmm...we then made our way to Cineleisure.
Due to space constraints, half of us went to Long John while the other half went to KFC for dinner. The Long John half finished their dinner faster so, yeah us the Long John half went to KFC to find the other half. There this lame cashier at KFC shushed us before chasing us out of KFC. LAME. KFC Cineleisure sucks!
Hmmm...we then took one hell of a time to decide on which movie to watch, finally deciding on 'Omen'. Got abit messed up by the tickets thingy. We had 16 tickets when 17 people paid to watch~strange eh? Dunno what happened to the other ticket. But heck them, we still smuggled Sarah and Yun Kai in. So yeah, 16 tickets for 18 people. Are we great or are we GREAT? Lol~
The sneaking part was fun but the movie was crap. When it ended JunKai and I were still like, "diao~that's it?". So yeah, besides the usual weird music, shadows, water and sudden movements, there was nothing to it. People~Don't waste your money on it~~really~~
Hmm....the show ended around 11 pm and apparently Vanessa's a 'Cinderella', meaning she has to reach home by 12 or something. So yeah, she was rushing all of us to chiong for the last train cos' all of us forgot what time the last train comes~ Yeah, a whole bunch of people running from Cineleisure to Somerset MRT station~~ +.+
Went to find dear angel after that. She knocked off work at 11:30 you see,so went to find her crap and lame~allll the way until 1:30 am. Haha~
My dad came to where we were [not very far from our homes] and walked me home.
Wow.
That's the very first time my dad's ever walked me home.
First time in 16 years 1 month and 1 week.
Wow...
Maybe I SHOULD go home later from now on.
Haha~

Love you BUNCHES !
For all the mushy-er details, refer to card hand delivered to you on Monday.
[For your information, dear Angel is the chairman of Lamer's Association,my flirtatious grandma who's always cheating on me when I'm not around(Lol~Despite this, still love you LOADS dah!!), my neighbour, my classmate for the past four years,my relatives recently and the pebble of my life. ]
I love her and she loves me too~LOL~
Happy birthday.

Nostalgia.
Nostalgia.
I'm on a vitamin C flush.
Yeah, I caught the common cold.
How did I catch it?
Ahh...I was training with the netball people in aj on monday[try try, see whether I wanna continue for cca or not mah~]. It was drizzling, but we carried on anyway. The typical training...running...then practice...then play a few rounds of netball lah.
After that, I rushed all the way home to grab Angel's b'day present (which I only handed to her today in the end) before meeting the rest of the HUAs. So yeah...one whole night out slightly drenched.
Here I must complain. MY MUMMY GRACE DIN HUG ME WHEN SHE SEE ME!!
Then again, she didn't hug anyone else~lol~
I was the only one still in school uniform in town at that time loh~
Nevermind. For my ah mah's treat I don't mind~haha~ Known Angel for soooooo loooooong...first time she offered us a treat ON HER OWN ACCORD leh~ So yeah, went to town, grabbed some pasta mania's pizza( 2 small ones only lah) before heading to Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf for coffee and cake~~(angel treated everyone a slice of cake..not cheap k!).
There...as usual lah...crap, lame, eat, accidentally spit onto one another, lame somemore and laugh laugh laugh laugh. Just like before...Then...as usual, XY has a curfew and had to leave early..the rest of us continued terrorizing Orchard with our lameness.
Just like before.
Sheesh, all this recollection of thoughts is making me become nostalgic AGAIN.
Honestly, though the people in aj are very friendly, outgoing, nice and funny, it's just different being around them. Not that I'm anti-social or anything. I welcome them. I'm open to meeting new people. In fact I enjoy meeting new people, but...it's just not the same as being with people you've lame-ed around, crapped around, laugh around with for so many years lah...
So yeah...physically I'm always around new friends...but mentally I'm not really there.
If you're from aj and you see me fly off reality when you're talking to me...paiseh lah~
I MISS BHSS SOOO MUCHHHH!!
The canteen at aj is incomparable to bhss's airy...spacious canteen unlike the squashed up ne at aj..,clean tables and benches not like aj's rocky, old and suspiciously uncleaned for years tables and benches...fantastic food not like the over-priced stuff in aj....a plasma tv that actually shows tv shows not like some lame book advertisement like the one on aj's tv(not plasma one summore!)...
The classrooms...old...fading paint...bare walls...small....squashed up....I just don't like it lah.
Or am I just not used to aj yet?
Oh yeah, I signed up for four CCAs on top of the OGF [Orientation Group Facilitator, the other version of an OGL] registration thingy. Due to schedule crashes here and there, I cancelled two out...Going for my first ODAC [OutDoor Activity Club] meeting tomorrow...it starts at 4:30..so SORRY! Will either be VERY late or won't go for tomorrow's 4e1 class gathering~
And because of the common cold thing, please DO NOT SHARE FOOD with me. I always forget that I'm not supposed to steal food from others then returning it when I'm sick~
Nostalgia is the suffering caused by the unappeased yearning to return.
Engulfed within my nostalgia.
I miss you peeps so very much.

Dilemma.
Dilemma.
Week 2 since school began.
First few days of actual lessons and 'school'.
I have four words to sum it up.
I don't like it.
Another two words.
At all.
Monday. You go and line up at your respective class. Wah....everyone was so guai and lined up neatly AT THEIR OWN CLASSES just as told. [If you're not from BHSS, in BHSS, we NEVER line up properly until we're screamed at about 5,6 times. We normally sit in 'clusters' before school starts. Not in straight, neat, tidy lines and in register order somemore!]
Then it was lectures all day at that bloody cold auditorium of AJ. Did I mention that it's impossible to sleep in the auditorium? The auditorium's tables are all loose and pathetically puny. The minute you lean a cm forward too much or let go of your desk, it collapses, bringing everything down.
What's wrong with that?
Hello? Pens, papers, stationary, handphones and who knows what people display on their tables falling, that's no hush hush matter you know. When a table collapses, the whole auditorium knows someone was dozing. Sometimes I really wonder whether the tables were purposely made that way~~
Economics was interesting...but that's only because my lecturer talked so fast we were all left panting just trying to get everything she's saying. So yeah, economics was a class no one slept in.
Maths....the biggest favour I could do for myself and the kindest thing I could do for my lecturer is to just do those stupid tutorials and not listen to what he is saying. Serious! Listening would mean falling asleep. So which is better , listening, then falling asleep? Or not listening but completing the work and understand what's going on?
Physics...I tried...I really really really really tried my darnest not to doze off. I was sitting right in front of the lecturer and I really really really fought one hell of a battle before falling. Alseep that is. Didn't let go of my table though~haha~ Physical quantities, what did you expect?
Other subs...haven't gone for those classes yet, but my chem teacher's alright. Damn lame and a shirt-tucker[person who goes around barking at people to tuck in their shirts]. Other then that...he seems harmless for now..
Oh yeah. I have big news to annouce. I am the monitress of 23/05 of AJ.
Shocked ? I am too.
No biggie actually. How I became monitress? I find it abit ridiculous too...
The gal standing right at the front was asked by my PDG tutor to be the temporary monitress. Girls, shy lah(but not me k! ), so she declined. Next in line was me. PDG tutor asked me, before I could answer, mari kita yahh liao~~I turn around, she's gone. Yeah. My very first time being a monitress. Get over the shock lah!
Another jaw dropper---> on the first day of lectures, there were already LOTS of people doing tutorials and studying during break time. OMG.
After just 2 days of REAL jc life...I'm beginning to think that JC-life may not be the ONE for me. See, when we're talking about paths to take in the future...we're not just talking about any ONE path. We're only interested in the RIGHT one.
Hectic schedules, rushed lectures, even later nights....just don't sound, seem, taste, smell, feel like the kinda lifestyle that I want. JC just sounds like a repetition of what we went through for our O's. Only the papers get longer, you sit there screwing your mind harder, you mug like never before.
Honestly, I don't think it's a question of "Are you gonna stay in AJ after you get your results?". It is now more of a " do you want to go JC?" question now. The super low laptop rates for poly students and their sooo many lovely canteens are REALLY very attractive too you know.. lol~
And frankly...I'm REALLY reluctant to go JC now.
On the other hand, my parents are very particular about the whole "JC is more prestigious" issue. Just the other day, when I CASUALLY mentioned to my mum that I MIGHT be choosing the poly route instead, she almost choked on air.
And a few weeks ago, my dad was being damn haolian to all my relatives about the fact that I'm gonna attend jc for first 3 months cos' none of my cousins in the same generation, is eligible to go to a jc. If I don't continue with this whole JC-sucks-but-still-attend-anyway , my dad would be very paiseh wouldn't he? By then, I think I'd probably experience a severe allowance cut or something~lol~But seriously, no child would want to deliberately disappoint their parents right? At least I don't. So yeah...JC...Poly...JC...Poly...
Sighz....Let's just wait and see where these first 3 months will deliver me... Just 3 months....I still have a looong way to go~

Releasing Steam.
Releasing Steam.
It's Sunday night. Ace Ventura's on TV. Ren Chi Charity Show's on TV. Here I am, online, without MSN. ARHHHHHHHHHHH!
Yeah, online, without the fun of being online.
Screw MSN BETA lah~~Sheesh!
*Note to self. Paste link to my blog on MSN when I'm FINALLY able to go on, so that the Virtual community don't think that I've been kidnapped by aliens or something.*
Ok! Woke up damn late ( by my standard) at 11 am today. ARH! Angel msged me at 9 to go for breakfirst k~~Anyway, went to town today, alone.
It was alright actually, walking around aimlessly with what you want in mind , without anyone's thoughts messing up your's, quality time with yourself . Makes shopping alot less complicated you know? Ok~that's just me.
Reason behind lonesome shopping trip? XY DIE DIE also must get Angel a birthday present no matter how I tried to explain to her that Angel wouldn't want a b'day present cos she doesn't really need or want anything now. Gave up trying to explain and since the rest of the peeps are either working/busy/uncontactable/don't want to be contacted/I lazy to contact, I went to find something for Angel~
Walked around, picked up quite a number of stuff for myself , something for Angel and something for Krystelle (Whose b'day is coming very soon as well~).
Everybody's out raping the ridiculously cheap sales going on just about everywhere in town, families rushing from Taka to Tangs, Robinsons to Isetan, conveniently forgetting about the tsunami that raped Asia just a week ago.
Yeah, argue that life must go on yadah yadah , but I think a prayer session inculcated into a family's Sunday plans instead of retail therapy would have been more appropriate.
Then what am I doing out shopping? I was back in time to pay respects to the trunami hit victims k..
A national minute of silence to remember the victims was sounded off by the Singapore Civil Defence Force siren at about 6 pm, ending with another siren. What is a minute of silence? In case you don't know, it's 60 seconds of NO drumming/NO asking of dogs to shut up/NO slamming of Neighbours/NO blasting of stereos/NO playing of Xbox/NO practicing of pianos no matter how lovely you think your tunes sound/NO laughing at lame jokes/SILENCE.
Lame neighbours perhaps? But I bet someone else over at Pasir Ris or elsewhere was crapping during this minute of silence.
And they call Singapore a first world country.
Blame the media for not informing the ever so busy Singaporeans well, but when you see the flag at half mast , shouldn't you start questioning the reasons behind it ? Or do you people even give the whole 'respect' issue a hoot? Or do you even know how much these people suffered ? At least 10 pages covering the tsunami disaster on Straits Times and still compreno ('don't get it' in Spanish, I think. ) ? Shame on you!
Guess that's the bad thing about reading the papers or observing a minute of silence before blogging -- you start releasing steam online. But honestly, I really cannot stand how some people can live in their own sugar sprinkled/honey glazed/ saccharine sweet/artificially sweetened fairytale (even at the age of 16! ) without even a peephole to reality. I mean, seriously, you're about to enter adulthood, about to be able to club legally, drink legally ,about to own the keys to your freedom and still you have no link to the real world??
AGAIN, I don't blog to make anyone happy. I blog to tell you peeps what I think. And I don't care what you think about it.
Lectures are starting tomorrow. Hope I don't doze off.
AJ's audi's tables don't permit that you know.

Out of Reach.
Out of Reach.
By Gabrielle.
Knew the signs
Wasn't right
I was stupid for a while
Swept away by you
And now I feel like a fool
So confused, my heart's bruised
Was I ever loved by you
Out of reach, so far
I never had your heart
Out of reach, couldn't see
We were never meant to be
Catch myself from despair
I could drown if I stay here
Keeping busy every day
I know I will be OK
But I was
So confused, my heart's bruised
Was I ever loved by you
Out of reach, so far
I never had your heart
Out of reach, couldn't see
We were never meant to be
So much hurt, so much pain
Takes a while to regain what is lost inside
And I hope that in time, you'll be out of my mind
And I'll be over you
But now I'm
So confused, my heart's bruised
Was I ever loved by you
Out of reach, so far
I never had your heart
Out of reach, couldn't see
We were never meant to be
Out of reach, so far
I never had your heart
In my reach, I can see
There's a life out there for me.

Just Another Day. Nothing Else. Really.
Just Another Day. Nothing Else. Really.
Mastered yet another dance today. Not that I mind though. Had loads of fun! Today we were taught the 'Borriquitto'. Damn cute that dance~lol~
Other than that, we played a mystery game which was ALOT better then those we had in the first two days.
My OGLs(Orientation Group Leaders) are so very incredibly nice to us .
They always try their best to keep all activities in the shade so that we don't get hit by the rain or sorched by the sun, sacrificing their own skins to the weird weather we're getting these days. Not only that, they even paid for our drinks and all .
*Currently in a realm full of praise and admiration of her comitted and dedicated OGLs*
*Snaps back to reality*
After school, krys, benny and I went to NYJC to find Angel, Yun kai, XinLi and the other peeps. Good thing we had our class tee on instead of AJ's orientation shirt~ Rumours say that NYJC throws outsiders who crash into NYJC 'illegally' to the Police.
Went to TP central, saw traces (who Angel screamed 'CHRISTABEL' at~), had a little snack, then made our way home. Nothing special, but nice nevertheless..
Guess it's the small things that count sometimes eh?
An old friend of mine is going away today.
Would be away for a looooooooooong time.
Won't be coming back anytime soon.
Doubt I'll ever see this friend again.
That's alright.
That's ok.
Can't do anything about it.
Can't say anything about it.
That's all that I can say .

No. 2 Of Being an AJCian.
No. 2 Of Being an AJCian.
Today was strangely more tiring then yesterday.
That despite the fact that I consider today to be a more slacked day then yesterday~~Fatigue maybe? After just a day of JC life? Haha~
OK! I've decided on a subject combination.
1st choice--> Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Economics.
2nd choice-->Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Economics.
Yeah, the only difference was one has Physics the other has Biology.
I simply detest Physics and I'm ok with Biology. BUT, Physics is more useful then biology, so yeah, made the more practical choice. It wasn't a matter of listening to your heart or your head. It was a matter of your heart and mind coming to an agreement. And mine did.
Anyway, today, we bascially just played games. Continuously. I don't think that the games suggested were sian, but I guess those lamers in my group just made them seem sian. I tell you, the MALES in Tribe Zeus, Dwelling Hera were damn UNsporting,UNgentlemanly and UNenthu. Cheers by them were lukewarm and as soft as a kitty's mew. What kinda LAMERS are they? Guys with excess female hormones?? Even the gals were louder, more enthu, more sporting maybe even more gentlemany than them (and it's not because we have excess male hormones! )~~ [If you're one of the guys in my dwelling...YES, I'm toking about YOU.]
Sheesh!
Nothing special about the new cheers we learnt, lame and uncreative, just like every other JC/ institutions/ School/Polytechnic...etc...in Singapore. Guess the actual theme of ANY orientation program in Singapore is actually Lameness. [proof--> AJC and NYJC both used the same cheers which were also used by all the uniformed groups in Singapore, namely ,NPCC and SJAB and secondary schools~]
Example--->
Thunderation(what I like to call, the "barbaric cheer")
Thunder, Thunder, thunderation
We the ___ Delegation
When we cheer with determination
We create a sensation! (repeat with clapping ,stamping one foot and jumping)
This cheer was also used in NYJC can~dunno how many other schools out there use this too. But if you're an OGL, PLEASE! Come up with your own cheer~~And NO, I'm not surrendering 4e1's cheer~~
After 'school', I rushed to BHSS's CCA open house. When I finally reached there, it was just about to end.( T.T )
I had this "Welcome home..." feeling when I arrived atop B. Hill. The CCA banners everywhere...NCC playing with NPCC.....SJAB being scolded by ol' Angel...Girl Guides keeping to their store room...CO fighting for more people to join...band with their numerous flyers everywhere(including toilet bowl) ....sweets in the NPCC storeroom...the noisy kids sec ones running all over the parade square...etc....wah....Home, sweeeeeeet home!
Now I am really feeling BHSS-sick. Wasn't like this during my orientation though~lol~
Saw quite a few teachers today . They haven't changed much. Raj , as witty as ever...Er , just like the nice chem teacher the knew for the past 4 years..Romzee..aiyoh..blur as always...
Here I wonder what my JC teachers/tutors are gonna be like...will they be as inspiring as those at BHSS? Will they be as competent as everyone thought? Will they care for you as much as your parents do, as much as we need them to ?
Yep. First day trauma on the second day for you.

Day One Of JC Life.
Day One Of JC Life.
"J1s please assemble at the hall as fast as possible..."
"J1s...welcome to Anderson Junior College.."
At first, I was still wondering who are the JC1s...
It always feels kinda weird on the first day back to school isn't it? Last time I always responded the OM's call for 1e1...2e1...3e1..4e1....with a "huh? " .
This time it's "JC1..." and "AJ-sians".
Wow.
It just felt....Wow.
Haha~
Anyway, first day of Orientation at AJC wasn't too bad. In fact it was really FUN!
OK, it didn't started out fun. We reported to the hall...which was so bloody run down compared sweet Ol' Balestier Hill...Then the usual attendance taking...just that this time, not by any teachers, only the OGLs(Orientation Group Leaders). The annoucements were all annouced by the students. Everything. It was only then I realised that just about everything going on at the JC was student-oriented (everything also the students do) .
Interesting..
Later on, the boring part of any Day one of school--> Principal's, Vice principals' ,HOD's talks. One word. SIAN. Or should I say, DAMN SIAN ah~~ It didn't help that I was in urgent need to go to the washroom , the auditorium was so bloody cold and the tables were the kind that would fall whenever you lean forward too much. Meaning, should you fall alseep, the whole auditorium would know~~
SHEESH~
The HODs were all scary. They made every single subject seem so friggin tough. Now I'm still very blur about which subject combination to take and which subjects to drop~
Enough of that. Anyway, we got fairly 'decent' looking Orientation t-shirts and bribery things like ring files, t-shirts, bottle, badge...etc..
Then they taught us how to dance. Mambo no. 5 lehh~It was EXTREMELY fun! The music was so fast and you really have to think on your feet to be able to do a decent Mambo, yeah, that kinda thing.
Later, the lame cheers lah, shall not go into detail with it (I still think 4E1's cheer best liao loh~).
Meet lots of new people today. Some from neighbourhood schools like me, some from SAP schools, some from top schools, scholars even. Quite a nice mix of different people from different backgrounds...
Looking forward to tomorrow..Hope I decide on a proper subject combination by tomorrow~~
I mastered a dance today. So proud of myself~
Lol~

That's me. Where's you?
"World raises $3b for tsunami-hit countries. "
"DHL lends a helping hand to SPH. "
"PSA waives port handling charges. "
2005 was welcomed with muted celebrations , modest displays , moments of silence . Some even exchanged a high New Year Countdown party for a prayer session. The tsunami hit victims were remembered by all, one way or another.
This made me think...Perhaps mankind isn't as cold as I thought. Perhaps there is hope for us.
But, seconds later,my contradicting self shot back, another thought jolted in : Is it for real? Will it even last? Or is this just another 'one-time-thing' ?
Is it just me and my cynical thoughts or is that the truth?
Are we really feeling for them, giving out hearts out to them, tearing for them , for real? Or are we simply doing what we SHOULD be doing during such a period of tragedy?
I'm sorry for doubting you peeps, but seriously, that's how I feel .
What are we fighting for ?
Our face? How we'd look if we don't express sympathies or condolences for those grief-struck victims? What others would think if we don't feel and act in the same way as they do ?
What are you ashamed of? Who you really are? Or the fact that you don't have yourself with you on this journey ?
So many questions, so many emotions, which one is your's ?
Amusing isn't it? One part of me wants to embrace life with arms wide open , with mind ready to receive , while the other part of me is questioning the source, debating against it for reasons which I cannot even remember.
Not only that, even though we learn lessons from the tragedies struck upon us, how long will it be before we get swept away by our own trivial concerns such as mineral bottle prices and siao lao tikos agian?
On marches in 2005 . Do me, the world and yourself a favour, go in search of your own thoughts, your own emotions, yourself.
Again, you peeps have every right to disagree. I don't care. I'm simply telling you peeps what I think. I'm not setting out to sway your thoughts and your perspectives, or to wage war against your ideals .
I'm in a nutshell just being me.

The First Day Of The Rest Of My Life.
The First Day Of The Rest Of My Life.
On the last day of 2004 , I went out with the peeps from BHSS NPCC to countdown.
We went to Cineleisure, which was so bloody packed just like every other place on New Year's eve, to watch Meet the Fockers. (Ermm..I know I promised quite a number of people I'll watch 'Meet The Fockers' with them, so yeah, I won't break promises here. I'll watch it over and over again if I have to~ +.+" ) .
We then walked around Orchard aimlessly , debating on where to go to countdown before we somehow decided to go Esplanade.
Here, I must complain about something.
Cineleisure Cheers cheated me of my money!!! Have any of you heard of a bottle of mineral water (not cold) being sold for $2 at an NTUC owned store??? Crap ah!!
OK....Cool down....breathe.....1...2.....3...ok~~
We then made our way to Esplanade, leaving behind a long trail of sprayed snow on Orchard. [Boys will be boys~ =.="]
By the time we actually countdown-ed, we had managed to towed along quite a number of other non-NPCC and even some non-BHSS peeps to countdown with us at the Esplanade.
I think we missed the correct timing to countdown, but, heck, we started doing our own countdown before spraying and running around like a bunch of immature tweens . Managed to cheat Grace of her spray can and went on spraying after I used up my last can. Lol~
They kept calling me drunk cos' of my sunburn =.=" ~~I don't drink k!!
The aftermath of all that frenzy remains kinda fuzzy in my head ,maybe cos I had less than 5 hrs of beauty sleep?
Anyway~All the train and bus services had ceased by the time we wanted to go elsewhere so we were left stranded outside Raffles City's Starbucks. Mouth dry and stomach roaring, most of us grabbed a frappe there before planning on where to go next . (We ton the whole night!)
Next hour was wasted trying to grab a damned cab-xi ( Jeffrey came up with this~) . It was like every cab-xi which flew past us was either 'Hired' , 'On Call' or taken. DANG! Can you peeps imagine our frustration and sian-ness from the whole "haha! I have a cab-xi and you suckers don't! "
thing ??
Nevermind. New Year's Day. Chill .
Eventually, we caught a cab-xi. Made our way to the kopitiam near YongZhi's place .
When I was ordering my teh-C, I noticed this weird lao tiko who kept smiling and winking at me. I thought , "Ah gong is being nice on New Year's Day..nothing else..nothing else.." , so I ignored him naturally.
You'd think he'd got the hint and backed off wouldn't you?
But NO~ That siao lao tiko went to stand at the side of our table, still smiling and winking at me . I'm NOT being paranoid. He was really directing at me . Take it or leave it.
Eli and the rest of them told me to ignore, so yeah, I TRIED to ignore .
But later on, he went to stand right opposite my side of the table and worse still, he started to use his hands to do some sign language. I didn't look , but from the looks on the rest of the peeps' faces and my glimpse of that siao tiko , it was definately not something like "Happy New Year! May God Bless you! " that kinda thing.
He persisted. He continued using sign language. He moved on to speaking. OMG. I won't type here what he said, cos, frankly, I'm still very freaked out by it .
He didn't stop. My blood pressure was rising. My heart went over the speed limit . I fiddled with my handphone to stop myself from pointing the middle finger to that bloody ass . I can honestly say that, that was the very first time in my life whereby I was so friggin pissed off to almost point the middle finger. First.
I glared , he laughed, totally ignorant of my glare.
We finally left that kopitiam after some time,(I think the rest of them sensed my 'freaked-out-ness' ) for the playground .
There, we just chatted and played in the playground. Kids these days are very poor thing. Their playgrounds have no sand, no swings, no seesaws, no rope walls, no low ceilings to climb atop...etc...What kick could a kid get out of simply sliding down a less than 1 metre slide ?
Sheesh~
At around 7 am, we then made our way home.
Not me and Angel though. We went to grab our morning chow! We walked around the unwoken Toa Payoh for a while . Everything seemed so calm , so slient . What really made us smile for some reason was the sight of this grandmother holding her granddaughter's hands so gently , walking towards the wet market . Nice..
My very first meal of 2005 was spent at YaKun, with my darling grandma, Angel~We talked . About our past. About our future. About everything .
I finally crash landed back to base camp (Ol' lovely blue blue room of mine~) at 9 am.
If you're one of those hardcore party-goers, my way of ushering in 2005 might seem sian and all, but then again I don't care about what you think do I ? All that matters is that I enjoyed myself (besides the lao tiko thing).
I found peace and serenity within.
I found time to reflect .
Time to be thankful for what Life has lased upon me.
Be it good or bad .[I was killed to be reborn stronger, not weaker, so...yeah, I don't blame anyone or anything for what was rained on me.]
Time to stop time .
I'm so looking forward to what '05 is gonna bring me . What surprises? What challenges? Who am I gonna meet? Who am I gonna love? And SO SO SO much more !
"What about your New Year Resolutions? "
Personally, I feel that New Year Resolutions rarely, if not, NEVER cease to be realised. So...I have no New Year Resolution this year. That way, what I want will surely come. Lol~
Hit me with your best shot.
I dare you to.
Cos' I'm not afraid .
"I am unwritten
can't read my mind
I'm undefined
I'm just beginning
the pen's in my hand
ending unplanned...
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
The rest is still unwritten."
Unwritten by Natasah Bedingfield .
Happy New Year Peeps !
Luv ya peeps !
=D
Praise God! My dad's FINALLY home!
