Survivors Of Another Kind.

Survivors Of Another Kind.

Haven't been blogging for the past few days. Was at Aloha Loyang for BHSS NPCC's chalet ! Ok lah,a few people from other uniformed groups were there too ,but the majority were still us from NP!

Say this first. Aloha Loyang.....SUCKS!! There was this bloody "after 12 am no noisy activities" rule. How stupid is that? Also,we were charged soooo bloody much money for our use of the lousy air con and for using thier towels. Made us all damm pek chek loh~

Now that I got rid of that constipated piece of crap..

OK, during the first day we had LOADS of people in pathetic Garden Terrace Iris so yeah, everything was very chaotic and crazy~

Thank goodness we had Wei Han with us for the first three days~ He was our master chef for the 1st few days~ Every day, every hour he'll be asking us ,"Today eat what huh?" or "You want chicken soup?" or "you want a snack?" . Lol~ First time I've seen a dude so enthusiastic about the kitchen~ I kowtow to him~

We had proper and decent stuff to eat when he was with us, fried noodles,eggs,veggies....etc...very home cooked~
Then there was the bbq stuff. What's a chalet without a bbq for us to play with? Haha~

Wah ,when Wei Han went off we made crap to satisfy our hunger~That's not so bad,cos we have ermmm thick skinned stomach after all that OBS,ATC,LTC....etc...The worst thing was that we were soooo lame that we had to resort to asking ur neighbours to teach us how to make the batter for fried chicken wings anf how to go about frying it~Not only that, when we finally got everything ready we discovered that.....we have no gas. How lame is that?

By the time we got everything somehow cooked (i think, not very confident of Surgeon Eve's skills) it was already 11 pm. Dinner or pherhaps supper at 11 pm. Pro eh? i'm kinda proud of that fact~ lol~

Why were our neighbours so nice? Maybe cos we gave them 1 big packet of frozen chicken wings and 2 packets of satay sticks. You don't expect just 6 people to finish up or even cook so much food right??

Anyway,I'm like the 'master dishwasher' for the entire chalet~ I washed just about every pot,pan,wok,fork,spoon,bowl,plate....yadahh yaddah...for 4 days and 3 nights. Washed until I almost used Trevour's most notable line," Arhhh!! Skin peeling, anyone brought moisturizer?"
Lol~

Hmm...they had booz...told me is grape juice call me to drink....Think I dunno ahh?? Lol~ OK lah...Had a little of it. But I stopped just there...didn't like it's taste...Good thing nobody got drunk.

Anyway...Had a blast notheless! BHSS NPCC ROX!! (Especially the 2004 batch of NCOs) lol~

During the whole chalet stay we applied loads of what we've learnt from chemistry, biology and even physics~

For example, the chopping of meat into smaller pieces so as to increase surface area therefore increasing the rate of reaction between the meat and the heat. Thus enabling us to cook the meat faster. Wahh~nerd eh? lol~nvm,it's useful.

When I was scrubbing the woks, trying to remove all of the soot under the wok,I had half the mind to just lunge back a sack of sand from the beach or maybe even use toothpaste to remove it. Those who are calling me siao now,SAND and TOOTHPASTE are Really powerful! Don't believe me ,go try loh~

Strange how some among us hated education and roughing out in the wilderness so much when it can help us so much now and in the future eh? Guess everything happens for a reason.

Your Father let go of your hand for you to fall, to teach you to stand up by yourself again.

Your teachers pushed you to your very limits, to the stage whereby you become anorexic or bullimic because of all the stress. To teach you those essential lessons for your future.

Your God made the ones you love reject and push you away. To teach you how to mend a broken heart. To grow up. To become stronger after all that saga. To sieve out the truth from all those lies.

So yeah...I feel that because of all these different kinds of educators in our lives...we are able to make ourselves a better future. That is of course if we accept their guidance. If we open our minds to differences. If we learn to learn.

Only then can we be the true survivors of life.
The survivors of another kind.
